Our History
Established in 2008, the Islamic Educational and Cultural Research Center began as a small gathering of Muslim families in the Newark area who sought to create a space for worship, learning, and community building. What started as weekly prayer meetings in rented spaces has grown into a vibrant Islamic center serving hundreds of families across the Bay Area.
Over the years, IECRC has expanded its services to include comprehensive Islamic education programs, youth activities, women's circles, interfaith dialogue initiatives, and community outreach programs. Our center has become a beacon of Islamic knowledge and spiritual growth, while maintaining strong ties with the broader Bay Area community.
Today, IECRC continues to evolve and adapt to meet the changing needs of our community, always staying true to our founding principles of Islamic education, spiritual development, and service to humanity. We look forward to many more years of serving the Ummah and contributing to the rich cultural tapestry of the San Francisco Bay Area.
